The success of the event changed attitudes about what computers could be used for on an individual basis and more personal level, people moved past the idea that computers were isolated machines merely capable of talking one-on-one to other computers. It made the idea of vast internet networks imaginable, as well as making acceptable the idea of live webcast productions into conventional internet society.
