Yet while M-Bone was the supportive technology for SCM's concert and other online concerts after that, live music distribution was not its only purpose; it was primarily a technology invented more mundane applications such as education and research. It was through the creative labouring of those working for IUMA and the willingness of bands like SCM that MBone was brought into the realm of producing live events for entertainment purposes.
